Lutheran Hills CHILDREN'S DAY & Open House...
Saturday, June 13
A day for children (ages 1-10) and parents where all the fun stuff
of camp is packed into one Saturday from 10:00 am. to 3:00 pm. Activities
include: camp hiking tour, arts & crafts, swimming (be sure to
bring your swim suit and towel), lunch, campfire program, games, and
lots more. The entire day is Free for the entire family!

PERFORMING
ARTS CAMP (Grades 4-10) ... July 26-31
A special week offered at Lutheran Hills. Performing Arts Camp is
for youth who love singing and performing. Campers spend 4-5 hours
each day working on a high energy Christian musical. A final choreographed
production is presented to parents, families, and participants of
XYZ Day on Friday afternoon, July 31 at 1:30 pm. $275.

GUITAR
CAMP (Grades 6-9) ... July 26-31
A
week for beginning guitarists who want to learn to play their favorite
camp songs, refine guitar skills, or simply want to learn playing
the guitar for the first time. Along with the usual great camp activities,
participants spend three hours daily in class. Luke Simpson, professional
bluegrass musician, will lead the program and be assisted by other guitar-playing
summer staff. Participants will take home a personal copy of the camp
songbook, give a guitar concert at a local nursing home, and play
a concert for family members prior to Friday afternoon pickup on July
31. (This same program is also offered at Lake Luther, July 5-10). $275.
XYZ Senior Citizen Day ... Friday, July 31
XYZ Day is the annual gathering of senior citizens from 10:00 am to
3:00 pm. The Lutheran Hills program includes morning Bible study,
a noon luncheon, and the Lutheran Hills Performing Arts Camp final
performance at 2:00 pm. This event is sponsored by the Indiana-Kentucky
Synod Committee on Older Adult Ministry and is FREE to senior
citizens and their guests.

SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Reading Camp "CADETS" ... June 21-26
Reading Camp is an initiative by the Indiana-Kentucky Synod designed to give tools and hope for a better future to 4th and 5th graders ladding behing their peers in reading skills. Professional teachers conduct the program, assisted by volunteer "Cadets," older high school and college students (ages 17-22) from synod congregations with an interest in elementary education. "Cadets" work with the teachers they are partnered with for 3 hours each morning and interact with students throughout the day on general camp activities, including leading "Read Aloud" story sessions each evening. Sr.
High Servant Camp ... July 5-10
A Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon camp week that includes
familiar camp activities with a "servant" theme. High
school campers will assist with Habitat-For-Humanity type Humanity
service projects in the Lutheran Hills area and with general
on-site camp property projects. Participants must be entering
grades 10-12. $275. |

PIONEERS
(Grades 4-6) ... June 21-26, June 28-July 2*, July 12-17, July
19-24, August 2-7
A lively week packed with activities for upper elementary youth entering
grades 4-6: hiking, swimming, arts and crafts, Bible study, singing,
campfire programs, small group and all camp games. $275. (*Sunday-Thursday $250.)
TRAILBLAZERS (Grades 7-9)... June 14-19, June 28-July 2*, July 5-10, July
12-17, July 19-24
A week geared for young teens entering grades 7-9, involving
more advanced activities and more individual choice than for younger
campers. Activities included: Bible study, canoe/hiking trips, swimming,
a cookout/campout, campfire programs, and special evening activities.
$275. (*Sunday-Thursday $250.)
PILGRIMS
(Grades 1-3) ... June 21-24, August 2-5
A great first camp experience for those entering grades 1-3. A shortened
week allows four busy days of general camp activities geared towards
a young age group. Enrollment is limited in order to keep living groups
small and allow for extra individual attention. Activities: arts and
crafts, singing, Bible study, games, swimming. $150.

FAMILY
CAMP WEEKEND ... July 31-August 2
A special weekend (Friday evening through Sunday noon) for families
of all shapes and sizes. Housing is provided comfortable Shedron Lodge,
our cabins, or tent/RV camping at our lake campground. For more information,
